A former Manchester mortgage broker with 18 years’ experience in the financial services sector has set up his own company to provide bespoke support to mortgage brokers.
David Stubbs who was a mortgage broker himself for seven years has launched a new company aptly called Broker Support.
It specialises in helping brokers with whatever support they may need including completing fact files, chasing documents, making calls and guiding the mortgage broker’s clients through the process.
David who already has several clients under his belt already is based in the Northwest but supports brokers across the UK.
Married with a nine-year-old daughter, David worked for a number of mortgage companies before initially setting up as a mortgage adviser himself just before the pandemic hit. Two and a half years on he decided he wanted to use his experience to help fill a gap in the market instead.
He said: “I loved being a mortgage advisor but know myself that there is a lot of running round as part of the job, which can be difficult to keep up with. That’s when I came up with the idea of setting up a new business, designed to do all that running round to support other mortgage advisors. Essentially Broker Support is outsourced para planning. As I’ve been a mortgage advisor myself and have more than 18 years financial services experience, I understand what’s needed and exactly how to help.
David added: “Not only do I support the mortgage brokers but help their clients through the process too, helping to streamline processes and essentially give mortgage brokers half their time back. They won’t have to do all the jumping through hoops needed or all the admin because I can do it for them which helps them become more efficient. I’ve got some great clients who’ve signed up with me already and I’m really looking forward to working with more in the future as Broker Support grows.”
