A Staffordshire Physiotherapy centre is celebrating its 8th year in business with a new fitness partnership.

Swan Physio based in Keele village have teamed up with CAPPS Fitness so that personal training (PT) and gym classes can be held there.
Fully qualified personal trainer Mat Capper is joining the Swan team to offer outdoor training sessions and classes, one to one PT sessions from April 12th and group sessions inside from June once restrictions allow.
Swan Physio who operate from a beautiful barn at the Keele Centre have doubled in size in recent years and offer a range of physiotherapy services for conditions ranging from spinal pain and headaches to arthritis and sports injuries as well as supporting those with complex rehabilitation needs.
As well as the Yoga and Pilates classes which Swan plans to run post lockdown, Mat will now deliver sessions including circuit training, Hiit sessions and a range of cardio based sessions. Mat also offers running performance assessments and training with the added benefits of nutritional advice.
31-year-old Mat says he’s delighted to be working with Swan Physio: “I’m so pleased to be joining the team and to be working from such great facilities in beautiful surroundings.
“I was based in Audley before and can’t wait to start training people from the Keele Centre. I’ve been delivering classes on Zoom throughout lockdown but it’s going to be great to be able to actually train people face to face again. My experience really complements the services run by Swan so I think this is going to be a great partnership.”

Swan Physio, which was founded by Lead Physiotherapist Carys Roberts in 2013, employs eight staff and also runs a student physiotherapy training programme.
Carys who grew up in Madeley said: “CAPPS Fitness are going to be an absolute asset to our team. Physiotherapy and exercise really go hand in hand and Mat’s experience and skills set are going to be so beneficial to our clients.
“With my other physio hat on I support Stoke City’s Regional Talent Club and Women’s teams as well as consulting on the Lioness Talent Pathway with their 14-to-17-year-olds so I see first-hand how important exercise and fitness are in terms of rehabilitation. We of course support our clients with basic exercise plans after they’ve had injuries or surgery such as hip replacements but Matt’s support will help us provide rehabilitation at a higher level.
“His classes and sessions are of course open to anyone, subject to government restrictions so we can’t wait to see some new faces here very soon.”
